The hotel is situated in a peaceful area near beautiful temples and philosopher path, away from the busy city center. the rooms are well-maintained, and the bathroom is clean. the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious.
The air conditioning in the room was too loud and kept me up at night.

My easter stay was absolutely amazing! The traditional Japanese style and attention to detail were top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. The food was a highlight, with exquisite breakfast choices and the option to have a delicious dinner. The location was perfect, offering a serene setting with stunning views of nature. Plus, the hot spring bath was a fantastic way to unwind and relax after a day of exploring.
One thing to note is that I didn't initially realize there was a beautiful tea house on the property, where I could have enjoyed coffee and a cozy atmosphere. It would have been a delightful spot to spend some relaxing time.

Yoshida-Sanso was a luxurious splurge for my husband and me. While we only spent one night here, it was the best accommodation we've ever experienced. We were welcomed with hot tea, a traditional sweet, and a handwritten poem in Japanese calligraphy. The room came with many nice amenities, including a tea set and comfortable yukata that we wore on the property. The futon beds were very comfortable and luxurious. The bathrooms and onsen were technically shared, but we never ran into anyone else using them during our stay. The kaiseki dinner was an absolute culinary delight! The 9-course meal was made with the freshest ingredients and cooked with a delicate, sophisticated touch. Our host was incredibly helpful and arranged a taxi for us.
I recommend this hotel.

Loved the perfect blend of Japanese traditions and European styling at this beautiful property. The 8 course kaiseki dinners and delicious breakfasts served in different rooms were impeccable and the view of the Japanese garden was breathtaking. The service was also impressive with a personal touch. It was great to have the bathroom privately, and the European coffee house was a nice touch for a relaxed afternoon.
It was also quite expensive and some parts of the property could use some maintenance. it was a great romantic escape with an interesting insight into the Japanese lifestyle.

The traditional kaiseki dinner was a culinary masterpiece, and the breakfast was equally delicious. The private bathroom added an extra level of luxury and convenience. Despite the slight inconvenience of the location, the serene atmosphere made it all worthwhile. I highly recommend this ryokan for a truly luxurious and authentic experience.
